While that may be where the brand originated, the modern version of the brand and aesthetic as we know it today began its evolution in 1995 when Benny Binion’s son, Jack Binion, opened the Horseshoe in Tunica County, Mississippi. Most of the news coverage on the Bally’s transformation into the Horseshoe has focused on the historic link to Fremont Street’s Binion’s Horseshoe which is now simply referred to as Binion’s. Now that the transformation of Bally’s Las Vegas into the Horseshoe is underway, I thought it would be a good idea to take a look at the evolution of the Horseshoe brand and give you my take on what Caesar’s means when they say the Horseshoe brand is for gamblers.
